Near term focus areas include non-corrosive de-icing formulations for pavements and infrastructure, hydraulic fluids designed to remain functional at low temperatures, and thermal insulation materials for cold weather apparel and equipment.

AegisCoat’s cold weather portfolio is built on technically mature concepts with clear paths toward validation and use. In heat transfer applications, surface treatments have demonstrated the ability to delay frost formation and reduce efficiency losses associated with icing.
Across applications, the emphasis is on durability and sustained performance under real exposure rather than short duration laboratory effects. Evaluation efforts focus on how materials behave over repeated freeze, thaw, and use cycles.
